Surf and Turf 2027!

New Orleans is an amazing city,   so we thought it would be fun to put together a group event that begins, and ends in the Big Easy!   It's a very walkable city, with cool bars, attractions, and incredible food.

I've gotten to know so many of our guests, but only over the phone and chat- so I'm REALLY excited to meet, and sail with you!

The hotel is fantastic, and the gorgeous Carnival Valor was refurbished less than a year ago.   Both casinos are world class, boasting hundreds of slots, table games, and poker.

This will be a week filled with food, fun, games,  prizes, and hopefully tons of JaCkPoTs!!

What YOU can expect from your play

Theo and ADT

If you're on a cruise, or playing at a land based casino, here's how you get an idea of what you qualify for

Lower end players

So you're on a 4 night cruise.   You play 4 hours each day, slots, and you bet between $1 - $3 per spin.   Here's the basic math: 4 hrs X 4 days = 16 hours.

Multiply your 16 hours by 360 (average spins per hour) = 5760.   Take this X AVERAGE bet of $2 = 11520.  Now, take THIS number X the house edge (which I calculate at .15 on a ship - it may differ on land) .   So 11520 X .15 = 1728.  That is your theoretical.   Now devide this by 4 (nights on the cruise) and your ADT (average daily theoretical) is 432, which will get you a comped interior cabin.

Unfortunately, you need a minimum ADT of $500 to get your hotel room and Ocean View cabin comped, so you would not qualify.

What you can do to fix it!   Play an additional hour per day - doing the same math, you would end up with a $540 ADT.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4 hours per day / average bet $4 =  3456 theo, 864 ADT which qualifies you for a balcony cabin (750+ ADT)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4 hours per day /average bet 7.50 = 6480 theo, 1620 ADT more than enough for a suite

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you don't want to raise your bet, increase your hours of play by 1 hour per day

How a casino determines your comps

How your comps are determined

Casinos  comp you based on what they expect to win from your gambling. This is called your theoretical. Your Average Daily Theoretical is that number averaged over the days you played, and it's the single most important number used to determine your casino offers.   The amount you win doesn't matter.  The amount you lose doesn't matter, the amount you spent doesn't matter, and your tier status at another casino doesn't matter.   What matters, is your theoretical.

How they calculate your theoretical (theo) and average daily theoretical (ADT)

Your theoretical is what the casino expects to win from you over time based on your play.  In short, it's based on the amount of time you spend gambling,  your average bet, and the game that you play.

For example....   A person playing Slots for 2 hours per day betting $5 per spin will have a higher theoretical than someone playing 2 hours per day betting $1 per spin.

In addition, a person playing slots for 4 hours per day betting $1 per spin will have a higher theoretical than a person playing 1 hour per day betting $4 per spin.   Casinos reward more consistant play than big wins or losses.

Here is another example;   Two people sit down at the same type of game and insert $100 into their machines.   Person 1 is a heavy better - $20 per spin.   He spins 5 times without a bonus or line hit, and inserts another $100.   Five more spins and still nothing.   He walks away with a $200 loss and 5 minutes of play time.

Person 2 bets on the low end.   He bets $1 per spin.   20 spins later he hits a $30 line hit.   A few spins after that  he hits a bonus.    He's having a lucky session on his machine, throws in some $2 and $3 spins, and 2 hours later he walks away after losing his $100 initial investment.

So who has better numbers?   If you said player 2, you are correct.   The biggest contributing factor to your comps is the amount of time spent playing.

If you're a table player, it's much more difficult to get an accurate assessment of your play.   Table games are fun for sure - but there are way more contributing factors like the amount of players at the table, the size of your bets, your buy in, and the fact that you're at the mercy of the dealer and the pit boss to keep track of players, particularly difficult with high table turnover, and busy nights.
