Casino is a whole different creature than booking a cruise and paying retail. Depending on your level of play, you will end up paying substantially (Like 85%-90%) less for your cruise than you would if you went through a cruise line's website, or travel agent. So it is definitely worth it to do the little extra that you need to do to get a casino offer. However keep in mind that nothing is FREE in this world, so if the casino offers you a complimentary cruise at just tax and fees, they do expect you to gamble in their casino while onboard.
Here are your options..... pay the cruise line a ridiculous amount of money for your cruise, and then spend money gambling. Or, pay the cruise line around 10 - 15% of that price for your cabin and spend a ridiculous amount in the casino! By doing option two, you're paying for your trip with your casino play, all the while having the opportunity to win a big jackpot!
You need to view a third party company (in this case Comp My Cruise) as the "deal maker". That's what third party casino agents do, we get you the great deal. Without us, you can STILL get a casino offer through the house, but you are seriously limiting yourself by doing so.
This is how house offers work: They mail you, email you, or you go to their casino website, and you will see what they are offering you. Each sailing has a code that goes with it, you contact the cruise line, and you book. These come out "every so often" (and I'm using that term because each cruise line is on a different time frame) and will contain 20 or so sailings to pick from, and these generally sail within 4 - 6 months. Sounds great right? Except for a few things......
It's because of those details, that you are much better off using a third party, and that's where we come in . First thing, please note that each third party company operates a little bit differently. The end result is the same - you'll be on a comped cruise. But the process is a little different for each one, and the level of customer service varies as well.
Some will offer you lists of specific sailings through out the year to pick from. In our case (which is why I love the way this company works!!) YOU pick the cruise line. YOU pick the ship. You pick the date you sail, and the port you sail out of. As long as it is 7 nights or less and sails within a year of the date you book, it's all good!
It's a little more work on your part, but by doing the "legwork" and making your choices, you are getting a true cruise vacation on a ship you want to sail on, to the destination that you want to go to. What you'll need to do is go to the website of your cruise line of choice, and start looking at what they are offering each month of the year. They've made it easy, you'll pick the date, the port, and where you'd like to sail to. Once you've found the perfect cruise, THAT'S where we come in!
